MY ALGARVE RENTALS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We present the General Terms and Conditions of use for the website; www.myalgarverentals.com, including the information, elements, data, and requirements contained therein, which is the property of the company JACKY REGO FERNANDES with tax identification number 200 450 751, with tax domicile in: Porches – Portugal, hereinafter abbreviated as “MY ALGARVE RENTALS”.
By using the aforementioned website to book and/or using any other means to book one or more properties, the user is indicating their agreement and fully accepting these terms and conditions. All information contained on this site is intended exclusively for private use, and its use for commercial purposes is prohibited. We inform you that both the access and the use of the website www.myalgarverentals.com, in its entirety, are restricted to continental Portugal and the islands. The privacy of the users of the aforementioned website is very important to us. Please consult our privacy policy to find out how we process and protect your personal data.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS In addition to these general terms and conditions, there are specific policies related to some properties; these conditions are, where applicable, duly mentioned on the profile page of each property.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND CHECK-IN After confirming a property booking, the guest will receive an email from My Algarve Rentals with the booking confirmation and important explanations about the property they have just reserved. 48 hours before arrival, the guest will receive an email from us with two external links. The first link must be filled out and submitted with all guest details, and used to pay the municipal tourist tax (if applicable) and the security deposit, as required. The second link, which contains all information about the property (how to get there and access it), will only be available after the submission of the first link and always on the day of arrival. The company may request the arrival time and the total number of people staying at the property so that the correct quantity of bed linen and bath towels can be provided. The links contain useful and important information for receiving the property key. Check-ins are generally carried out in person with a company employee. In some cases, non-presential check-ins may occur, where access codes to the property will be sent to the guest in advance. This is always contingent on the check-in form having been successfully filled out and submitted. When booking, the guest may also book additional services, namely “early check-ins,” “late check-outs” (subject to availability), cots, high chairs for babies, among other services. Additional services will only be provided when they are duly requested and paid for through the www.myalgarverentals.com page. My Algarve Rentals cannot assume any responsibility if the guest fails to fill out the Check-In form. All information provided to My Algarve Rentals on the check-in form (e.g., check-in and check-out dates, among others) is stored in the company's database. Any attempt to alter and/or violate the original information will invalidate the check-in form and is subject to possible booking cancellation.
ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN Unless otherwise agreed, all check-ins are in person at the property and always from 4:00 PM until 11:00 PM. However, there is a supplement for arrivals made from 7:00 PM (€25) and from 10:00 PM, the value is €45 (applicable only when the check-in is carried out in person by one of our employees). In the case of in-person check-in, the guest must call the previously indicated telephone number at least 60 minutes before arriving at the property so that one of our employees can be present to receive the guest. All contacts will be provided after booking confirmation. The company cannot be held responsible if the guest does not call with sufficient advance notice.
NUMBER OF GUESTS Guests must indicate the exact number of people on the check-in form. The number of guests specified in the booking cannot exceed the number of guests specified for the accommodation. If the number of guests exceeds the limit, My Algarve Rentals reserves the right to require guests to leave the property without any compensation or refund of the fees paid.
PAYMENTS Any pending payment must be made upon arrival. My Algarve Rentals reserves the right to cancel the booking if the guest refuses to pay the due amount at check-in. Payments for late arrivals may also be paid upon check-in. My Algarve Rentals cannot and does not have the conditions or logistics to store guests' luggage, whether before check-in or after check-out.
PROPERTY KEYS At the time of check-in, My Algarve Rentals provides 2 sets of keys. Guests must be careful not to lose the keys. Additional fees will be charged for lost keys or requests to open doors. The fees are charged as follows: Lost Keys (price per key): €30 / Emergency Visit (between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM): €35 / Emergency Visit (After 7:00 PM): €90. In the event that a locksmith service has to be contracted, the guest will be responsible for the total amount charged by the service provider. The service provider's fee is based on complexity, materials, time spent, and other variables. Please note that it may take up to 60 minutes for one of our employees to arrive at the property to assess the situation and take the necessary steps and actions. Guests must return all keys at the time of check-out.
SECURITY DEPOSIT A security deposit is requested for each booking. The amount may vary depending on the type of property the guest has reserved (value between €150 and €800). The amount must always be paid before check-in (using the external link sent) via credit card. The refund will be made via the same method, after check-out, final cleaning, and property inspection.
APPLIANCES AND PROPERTY AMENITIES All appliances and amenities of the property are described on the page. My Algarve Rentals cannot and is not obliged to provide any item not listed (e.g., air conditioning, heaters, television, among others). If an appliance and/or other type of equipment does not work, or if guests are unsure about how to use any equipment in the house, they should contact the My Algarve Rentals team.
MAINTENANCE AND SPECIAL REQUESTS Any and all problems within the property (e.g., electrical problems, equipment malfunction, water leaks) must be immediately communicated to our customer service via email or telephone. Depending on the problem, resolution can take up to 72 hours, or longer, if it depends on third-party services. While respecting guests' privacy, My Algarve Rentals reserves the right to access the property at any time, if necessary, for inspections, repairs, and emergencies. Cots and high chairs for babies can be requested in advance but are limited to availability at the time and are always subject to an additional payment to be made upon delivery of the equipment.
CLEANING The property is delivered clean upon the guest(s)' check-in. My Algarve Rentals' basic service includes a set of towels (2 towels per person), bed linen, and some hygiene items (liquid soap, gel, and shampoo) for each booking. Additional cleaning services and products, including a change of sheets and towels (in the middle of a stay up to 7 nights), are available upon payment of an additional fee. Guests do not have to clean the property at check-out but should, however, keep it as organized as possible. For safety and hygiene reasons, the guest must always remove and take the trash out of the property and place it in the municipal containers located near the property.
PETS No pets (of any breed, size, or age) are allowed in My Algarve Rentals properties. My Algarve Rentals reserves the right to require guests to leave the property without any compensation or refund of the fees paid if an animal is found inside.
SMOKERS Smoking is strictly prohibited in all properties managed and administered by My Algarve Rentals. This includes all balconies, patios, terraces, and garden areas. Any traces of cigarette smoke or similar will incur an additional fee of €100.
FURNITURE Guests may not make any alterations or additions to the accommodation or its contents.
ITEMS IN THE PROPERTY All items found in the property belong to the owner and must not be moved or removed from the property during the stay.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITY The guest is responsible for the use of the property they have rented. They must also respect quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM the following day. They must respect the neighborhood. Be careful when opening or closing the property door or the building door. Bookings are not accepted for illegal activities, parties, meetings, or events. The guest whose name is on the booking confirmation email will be responsible for the behavior of the entire group and agrees to avoid any and all illegal activity. They must not invade the owner's privacy or post anything that could allow third parties to identify the address of the property or the owner's identity (even if such information is already in the public domain). Guests are primarily responsible for their own safety during their stay. Guests must listen to any instructions or explanations provided by My Algarve Rentals during check-in. If a guest becomes aware of something during the stay that they believe poses a health and safety risk, they must immediately inform My Algarve Rentals. When leaving the property, guests must ensure that they turn off gas appliances, close windows, turn off air conditioning, central heating, and lights.
CHECK-OUT Check-out is by 10:00 AM, and all guests must leave the property at the indicated time, and may not, under any circumstances, leave any of their belongings. Guests must inform the check-out time. The guest may and should leave one key inside the property and another placed back in the safe (if applicable). When leaving, the guest must ensure that the property is locked. The guest MUST NOT leave the keys in the door lock. Guests who do not check out by 10:00 AM may be charged an additional accommodation fee corresponding to half a day's rate. If the guest refuses to leave, My Algarve Rentals reserves the right to enter the property, remove their belongings, change the locks, and also take other necessary measures. (The guest will be charged the costs of any such action).
ITEMS LEFT IN THE PROPERTY My Algarve Rentals is not responsible for any item left inside the property after the guest's departure. Any belongings found in the property can be returned upon request. The guest is entirely responsible for all expenses related to the process of returning their belongings. Should My Algarve Rentals find an item, it will be stored for 30 days from the guest's departure date. After this date, the item may be handed over to a charity or similar institution.
DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY Guests agree to pay the cost of any damage to the accommodation or contents. The guest authorizes My Algarve Rentals to charge such fees to the credit or debit card provided during the booking.
LIABILITIES My Algarve Rentals' service is legally limited to the properties and the relationship with guests during the stay. My Algarve Rentals will not be responsible for any occurrences outside the property boundaries, such as (but not limited to): cleaning and maintenance of the building, external noise, construction, neighbors, or any other matter not directly related to the property itself. Photos and descriptions of the properties are produced by My Algarve Rentals or a third party at My Algarve Rentals' request and have been reviewed by the owners. Minor changes to the property may occur in relation to the website photos, without compromising its general condition or amenities. My Algarve Rentals will not compensate guests, refund fees, or transfer guests to other properties based on the appearance of the property or surroundings. It is the guests' responsibility to ensure, before booking, that the area or neighborhood they choose to stay in is to their liking. My Algarve Rentals is not responsible for any damages caused, directly or indirectly, that may occur during guests' stay at the property, such as (but not limited to): personal injury, theft or criminal behavior, losses due to fire or misconduct, etc. The same applies to any deficiencies in the supply of gas, electricity, water, telephone, or internet. My Algarve Rentals is not responsible for potential delays, accidents, losses, or changes in schedules or fares related to our suppliers' services. My Algarve Rentals is not responsible for errors and/or omissions, false statements by third parties, disputes between a guest and a third party, or for the content of external links other than the one where the booking was made. Should guests fail to comply with these terms and conditions, or in case of misconduct by the guests, My Algarve Rentals reserves the right to require them to leave the property without any compensation or refund of the fees paid.
UNUSUAL SITUATIONS AND LEGISLATION These terms and conditions are an integral part of any booking confirmation between the guest and My Algarve Rentals. The company is duly authorized to provide rental services for the property(ies) it manages for a specific period (mentioned in the booking confirmation). The guest is not a tenant of the accommodation and does not have exclusive possession of it. In the rare event that a reserved property becomes unavailable, due to damage caused by a water leak, for example, or any circumstance beyond the company's control, My Algarve Rentals will not be responsible for the inconvenience caused, however, it will take all necessary measures to re-accommodate the guest in a property with similar characteristics. If the guest does not accept such a change, the full amount (excluding costs related to the days the property was used by the guest, if applicable) will be refunded, but neither the owner nor My Algarve Rentals will be liable to the guest for any additional amount in relation to the cancellation of the booking. My Algarve Rentals will also not be responsible for belongings left or misplaced in the property.
CANCELLATION To cancel a booking, the client must contact My Algarve Rentals as soon as possible by email, quoting their booking reference number. Any cancellation may be subject to the payment of cancellation fees. Depending on the reasons for their cancellation, the client may recover these cancellation fees from their insurance company if they have taken out travel insurance. We strongly recommend that all clients obtain adequate personal and travel insurance coverage.
BOOKING ALTERATION If, for any reason, the client wishes to alter their booking (e.g., change the dates of their stay or even the property), My Algarve Rentals will do its best to respond appropriately to the client and accommodate their request, but no guarantee can be given. Any alteration made may be subject to a change in fare. If no suitable alternative is available, the cancellation policy applies.
FORCE MAJEURE The short-term property rental offering is a "grey area," and there is some risk that authorities may close or prevent access to the properties listed on this site. All property rentals on this site are subject to the local laws and legal conventions of the country of origin of the management company of the accommodation concerned.
